About Workspace Rowanfield

We help professional practices protect the client records they already hold — with advice that fits filing rooms, shared drives, and busy reception desks.

Mossel Bay advisory office with soft light over a meeting table and document binders

Registered business

The official registered business name is Workspace Rowanfield (Pty) Ltd. The business was established in 2016 in Mossel Bay, beginning as a small advisory practice assisting local offices with client-file handling after a wave of misplaced folders and unclear retention habits across Eden district firms.

Brief history

In the early years we worked mostly with accounting and legal offices along the Garden Route, walking filing rooms and drafting plain-language handling notes. By 2019 the practice had formalised a Client Records Protection Review — a repeatable engagement that still anchors our work. Through the early 2020s we added staff briefings and retention workshops as clients asked for help beyond a one-off findings brief. Today we remain a hands-on advisory firm: we visit, observe, write, and follow up; we do not sell software licences.

Mission

Give every practice that holds client identity details, case notes, or financial files a clear picture of how those records move — and a realistic path to tighter, calmer handling.

Working approach

We begin with inventory and observation, not a template checklist. Advisors speak with the people who touch files daily, document gaps in access and disposal, and leave you with owners and dates for each priority. Cybersecurity considerations appear where they belong: locking cabinets, controlling shared folders, and knowing what to do when a record leaves the building uninvited.

Values

  • Specificity over slogans — name the shelf, the tray, the shared folder.
  • Respect for staff time — briefings stay short and role-based.
  • Honesty about scope — we advise; your Information Officer remains yours.
  • Local presence — Mossel Bay roots with reach across the Eden district.
